Moving Forward

Most know already, but I wanted to have it recorded here on the blog to keep the time line flowing. The day before we were to leave to go pick up our new baby girl our birthmom changed her mind. Seems that birthdad and other random family all showed up at the hospital after the birth and showed their (mostly new) support for keeping the baby. Now there are lots of bitter things I could say here but I simply want to record that, after a nice healthy period of crying jabs and anger (ok, more like rage) I actually have surprised myself and feel pretty ok. There will be a baby for us and while almost two years and three lost ones could bring any one down, I am making a conscious effort to focus on the present and this has brought me peace. So...stayed tuned for more gratuitous cute pictures of Zander, the amazing boy I do get to parent and love here and now.
